Anglers are still hauling in the big trout. Favorite lake location has been out by the dam using rapala and wedding ring lures. Bass anglers are keeping their information to themselves but I’ve seen plenty of them out here fishing. Favorite bait at the pond was green powerbait.
1,200 lbs of Mt. Lassen trout were planted 4/15/15 with 600 lbs going to the North shore rap and 600 lbs to the South shore ramp. Another 1,200 lbs is scheduled for next week.
Lake Camanche’s current elevation is 180.51 as of 04/14/15 and 54.99′ from spill level. Water temperature at the south shore ramp is 66 degrees and the lake is 26% full. the inflow from Pardee Lake is currently 11 c.s.f. and the outflow from Lake Camanche is 204 c.s.f.
Ron Parker showed up on 4/9 with this respectable rainbow weighing in at 8.76 lbs caught at the pond but sorry no other details were given.
Dennis Moore caught this 12.41 lb trout out of the pond using green powerbait on 4/9.
Bob Brown of Modesto reeled this 7.94 lb trout in while fishing out near the dam on 4/11 using a wedding ring lure.
Chris King of Sacramento also fishing out near the dam brought in this huge 11.01 trout on 4/10 using a rapala lure.
Adam and Eve of Sacramento had a wonderful day fishing out around the dam area using rapalas to bring in this nice stringer of trout on 4/11. Largest weighed in at 6.5 lbs.
Shayne Carpenter of Valley Springs dropped a line in the pond and pulled out this 12.41 lb rainbow trout using powerbait.

Monster Fish Contest!
How to enter:
To enter the 2015 Monster Fish Contest all you need to do is bring your fish to either North or South shore Marina Store to have your fish weighed and photographed. If you hold the record weight for the 2015 calendar year, you will win a Free 2016 Annual Day Use Pass! One pass will be awarded to the angler who holds the 2015 record weight for each of the following fish:
Bass, Trout, Catfish
RULES & REGULATIONS: Fish must be photographed and weighed during normal store hours at either Marina store using ONLY Camanche Recreation Company’s store scales. Participants must provide the store with their full name, contact information and sign a photo release waiver. One Annual Day Use Pass per fish type will be awarded. Prize is non-negotiable but may be transferred to another person. Program ends December 31, 2015 at 5 pm. Winners will be notified no later than January 14, 2016.
