“Today’s trip out to Lake Camanche.
We got a little bit of a late start. I couldn’t wake from my food coma. As some of you know, not a problem. I live a stone’s throw from the South Shore. We headed straight to the narrow. We made our first drag in my favorite area. On the north side against the wall. We picked up our first trout almost at china cove. Exactly the same spot Dennis Moore and I had our only bump last Sunday. He liked our chrome flasher’s with chartreuse beads and a firetiger painted Appex. We continued with no luck to the river. Turned around and dragged through again. No bites. Continued trolling on the north side. As we passed by house boat row. We hooked on again. Lost it almost immediately. As soon as we calmed down. Whammm. on the other rod. Had him for a bit and lost him. I reeled in to check my lure. Looked good so I let it run out again to 130′. As soon as I set the rod in the holder, Whammm Again. Not a good hook set, Lost him. That was a F7 firetiger broken back trailing behind flashers. So we had lost 3 there. Made a large turn and headed to the south side. On that side near the launch ramp we hooked on again. A pesky Bass. He liked my pink Appex behind a Shasta sling blade.”
