Hot week at the pond, bank fishing and trolling! As the weather warmed up so did the fishing. Favorite reported baits this week were rapala, shad colored robo worms, live worms, crankbait, fire tiger lure, orange power eggs, rainbow power bait rubs with hatchery dust and garlic rainbow power bait. Water temperatures on top were reported from 47 to 53 degrees depending on the area. Favorite spots were out by the dam, Little Hat island, Narrows, Houseboat Cove, south shore day use (Willows) and of course the pond.
As of 02/12/16 Camanche Recreation have planted 30,300 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout with a total of 9,700 lbs planted into the pond. Next week we are expecting an additional 1,200 lbs. – 600 lbs. to be delivered to the north shore ramp and 600 lbs. to the pond. Be sure to check back here or Facebook for the update.

The inflow from Pardee Lake is up! 528 c.s.f. as of 02/08/16 and the outflow from Lake Camanche was at 161 c.s.f. As of this report Lake Camanche was 60.38′ to spill level.
Doug Hunger reported this past weekend, “My son and I fished Camanche today, we trolled from the launch to the bridge my son landed a bass on a rapala. We fished for cats for a bit with no success, so we trolled back to the launch and I caught a bass pulling a rapala.”

Central Valley Anglers had a nice 17 boat tournament out at Lake Camanche on Saturday 2/6/16. Big Fish: Dominic Bechtold and Steve Quintal tied for 2nd & 3rd, 3.35 lbs each with Tim Hutchins taking first with top trout 3.64 lbs. Central Valley Anglers
