The bite is remaining hot! Crappie, trout and bass oh yah!
Hot spots have been out by the buoy line at the dam, Big and Little Hat Island, down the Narrows, Houseboat Cove and near the covered NS berth.
Hot baits have been crystal silver minnows, rapala, Mt. Shasta green huin…whatever that is. Trout anglers were reporting that whatever they were throwing for trout the crappie were taking.
Bigger releases from Lake Pardee have Camanche coming up to 25% from 22% in the last week. The release from Pardee as of 2/25 was1,236 c.f.s. and the release from Camanche was 162 c.f.s. leaving the lake level at 56.1 till spill level.
This is Joel & Marle Barron of Roseville showing off their trout and crappie on 2/25. They were using crystal silver minnow out by Big Hat Island to bring in this combo stringer of trout and crappie. The Crappie weighed in at 2.40 lbs. and the largest trout was 4.42 lbs.
Dave Jans of West Sac and his Dad from Rocklin were out on 2/24. They were trolling the buoy line out by the dam for trout but the crappie kept hitting on the the rapala they were throwing. Pictured below: Dave Jans

As of Friday 2/26 – 32,700 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout have been planted with 10,900 lbs. planted in the south shore pond.
