Two tournaments and a kid’s fishing event made for a very busy angler’s weekend here at Lake Camanche!

Those that reported bait this week listed powerbait, rainbow powerbait and spoons. Just outside the buoy line at the dam, south shore day use and the ponds were all list for locations.

1,800 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout were planted on Tuesday 4/26/16 with 600 lbs. going into the pond, 300 lbs. at south lake courtesy ramp 300 lbs. to the children’s pond and 600 lbs. to the north ramp. An additional plant is  expected this week before the weekend but we are waiting on confirmation.

Saturday 4/30 the NorCal Trout Anglers Trout Challenge was out on the lake battling high winds. We were surprised that the teams stayed out on the water but they did and here are the results.
