BASS, BASS, BASS! Again it’s all about the bass this week! Check below for the good size large mouth that were caught and released over the last couple weeks.

Trout and crappie were also reported but most anglers were doing some pre-fishing in anticipation of the yak-a-bass tourney next weekend.

Friday 4/14 Mt. Lassen Trout dropped 3,000 lbs. of rainbow trout with 1,000 lbs. going to the south pond. 1,000 lbs. also went into both the south lake and the north lake at the boat ramp. This week we will receive another 1,800 lbs. of trout before the weekend.

Wesley Jones, AKA pokerfishin posted this shot above and said, “Nice little bonus fish today while pre-fishing! Biggest Crappie I’ve ever caught!

These two adorable young anglers brought in this 3.30 pound bass fishing by South Shore Marina Cove.

Mar Rojas was fishing the pond and posted the picture above on Facebook. He wrote, “I had a Okuma SST Ultralight trout 7′ rod, Ultralight Okuma Safina pro spinning reel with a 4 lb. test. Took me a few mins to reel in with a 4 lb test line.
