It’s all about the bass this week! Lots of anglers sharing their pictures and info on a terrific bass week. Crappie and trout were also caught but not like the numbers of bass.

EBMUD is still busy draining down both Lake Camanche and Pardee. Pardee down to 93% while Camanche is down to 72% or 218.27′ elevation as of this report. For the most accurate updated elevation information go to http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/reservoirs/RES

Friday 3/31 Mt. Lassen Trout dropped 1,200 lbs. of rainbow trout with 600 lbs. going to the south pond and 600 into the north lake at the boat ramp. This week we will receive another 1,200 lbs. of trout before the weekend. As of 3/31 we have had total of 41,250 lbs. of trout planted with 14,550 lbs. going into the pond.

Above: Saturday April 1st. was  a big day for Josh Lerche! He posted and shared on Instagram his video of his big catch and commented, “Well, I reached one of my goals today. This girl was playing hard to get. I did not realize she was this big, I thought maybe 9-10 lbs. This old girl went 13.44 lbs! I finally go a teener. ” He also said, “Today was one of those days I will never forget for the rest of my life. Left: Fishsniffer posted to Instagram and wrote, ” Sniffer reader Matt Q braved the wind and rain to chase Camanche bass. even in adverse conditions Lake Camanche continues to produce quality spots.” No bait was listed but it was released.

Left: Monday 3/27  Holly Kelly of Santa Clara brought in this very respectable 6.16 lb. trout from the south pond using cast masters.

Dan Bolanos of Lodi also brought in a giant 7.37 lb. trout from the pond on Friday 3/31.He listed Roster-tail for bait.

Bob Simms of KFBK Radio fame was out with some friends over the weekend at Lake Camanche and sent us this cool shot!

Bob commented, “Caught and released this 4 lb. largemouth from the bank last night (Sunday 4/2) at the end of the campground. It took a senko with red flake.

RJ Schulze posted these picture of both himself and his dad from Saturday 4/1. “Camanche did not disappoint today, caught some fish by hat, but the majority of the action was in the narrows. Got some quality fish today, nothing huge, but definitely a great day.” He also said, ” I was throwing a shaky head, my dad was throwing a wacky rig senko.”
