Lake Camanche Fishing Report 2/16-18

Lake Camanche was holding at 75% full this week with an elevation of 220.35′ but not for long. Camanche was releasing approximately 330 C.F.S into the Mokelumne River while only receiving 11 C.F.S. from Pardee at the time of this report.

A huge plant of 3,600 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout was supposed to be delivered on Thursday 2/15/18. but the delivery truck broke down. They had to use a smaller truck so we only received 1,200 lbs. today (2/16). We will be getting the remaining 2,400 lbs. early in the week and our scheduled 1,200 lbs. before next weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Left & right:Rick Novotny posted to both Instagram and Facebook on Saturday 2/10-18 and wrote, “Hit the lake today for a couple hours with my coworker Ryan. Water temp was 57 and slightly stained due to the wind. Stuck a couple on a Ned rig in 15-20’ of water on the main lake then switched to a keitech. The keitech was the ticket! Boated 10 to 12 fish in the 2-4 # range before the wind got too tough. Had a blast! #rickfromcananche”

Fortunate to have found some fish deep and ended up weighing in almost 24 pounds. Definitely the best day I’ve ever had there. Jigs and a flutter spoon were key. Water temp started out at 55 and only went up 1 or 2 degrees despite the warm day. Only found 1 fish shallow on a Senko.”
