The pond and north shore day use are still hot for those that know how to fish Camanche Recreation.
The inflow from Pardee Lake remained at 11 c.s.f. as of 12/20/15 and the outflow from Lake Camanche was 180 c.s.f. Lake Camanche was 57.95′ to spill level as of last Sunday. EBMUD Daily Water Report
As of last Thursday 12/17/15 15,300 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout have been planted. A total of 4,900 lbs. have been planted in the pond. The Christmas plant will be 3,600 lbs. to be divided up with 1,200 lbs to each north shore ramp, south shore ramp and the pond . Check back for details of when and where either here or on Facebook. Cha Vang shared his secrets on our FB page for catching at the pond. Cha wrote ” Garlic power bait, or salmon scent powerbait. Single hook with a small splits hot about 2ft up. Cast out 10 yards and leave your line slack. Just watch your line for the bite.” Thanks Cha!
Reuben Lusvardi of Shingle Springs was using orange and yellow powerbait to snag this stringer of trout last Thursday 12/17 off the bank at the north shore day use area. The largest weighed in at 6.78 lbs. for a total of 12.22 lbs. on this stringer.
