Lake Camanche Fishing Report 5/18/18

Lake Camanche has dropped slightly to 92 % full.  Elevation 231.22′ at the time of this report. Lake Camanche was releasing 833 approx. C.F.S. into the Mokelumne River while receiving approx. 931 C.F.S from Lake Pardee.

5/17 Mt. Lassen planted 3,600 lbs. of trout with 1,200 lbs. to the South Trout Pond,  1,200 lbs. to the South Shore lake at the boat ramp and 1,200 lbs. to the South Lake at the Lakeside Day Use area due to the warm water. This spot was chosen as it has a quick drop off to deep cooler water. The surface water temperature at the pond was 72 degrees and 71 at the south ramp. This was the last plant until the water cools off again in the fall.

The love for fishing and hauling butt in a bass boat runs through our veins. He’s a great ‘lil fisherman. 6 fish total today. 2 for Benny, 2 for @clblankenheim and 2 for me.. what a spectacular day off. We all needed that! My little treat for Benny while Joey is away at science camp.  He also commented, “to @sterbo9yeah he had a blast.. that was the first time I’ve taken him where he was old enough to actually enjoy it. And he caught the first and last fish of the day.”
