Lake Camanche’s elevation was 221.29′ and 76% full while releasing at approx. 605 C.F.S. in preparation of winter rains. Lake Camanche was receiving approx. 236 C.F.S from Pardee Lake at the time of this report.

The weather has cooled down enough to finally bring water temperatures down to 68 degrees which makes the lake cool enough to start restocking trout again. The order for Mt. Lassen Trout has been placed and should arrive sometime before next weekend, 10/27.

Cooler weather and less recreational boaters are making for better fishing reports from anglers. Big catfish have been reported at the south cove, bass are reported at areas with visible vegetation showing in low water areas, and trout have been reported at 40-60′.

It speaks to me in a way not many lakes do! Going after big bass our anglers are reporting bait – river2sea, xzonelure and plastics. As Camanche drops the vegetation and rising islands have been the most populated spots.”
