Lake Camanche Fishing Report 1/12/19

Lake Camanche was still reading 74% full with an elevation of 220.17′ but has changed by releasing more than receiving at the time of this report. The Lake was releasing about 401 C.F.S. while receiving 348 C.F.S. from Pardee Lake.

Mt. Lassen planted on Thursday 1/10/19 releasing 1,200 lbs. of trout in the south pond and  1,200 lbs. in the lake at the south ramp. 2,700 lbs. are scheduled to be planted sometime before next weekend spilt between the 3 normal locations for plants.

Cover, left & right: Williamnerica Heinselman of the Sierra Lodestar was out with some friends on 1/4 and commented, ” Trolling Camanche’s river arm with Willie Mehrer and his two lovely daughters, Madelia age 12 and Gennaviene age 8. The girls were four for four with 3 bass and 1 rainbow trout! Had a great time today with Willie and girls. Hope we can fish again real soon!!”

Right: Dave Magonigal posted this cool shot of commented, “Winter Crappie”  He also reported, “Chartreuse and white Power grubs with power eggs 30-80ft deep over by big hat island and main channel.”

All three photos above were posted on Instagram by @lumpiashooter13 writing, ” Fun family fishing day! First fish of the new year. Caught 2 lb. rainbow on power eggs and egg sinker-slider rig.  #familytime” When requesting to use these shots he also reported that they were out last weekend during the bad storms.

Whether bank fishing, by kayak or boat he said it was one of his and his family’s favorite lakes.
